As a nice little side project I'm putting together a zine on being sober and straight-edge. If you want to contribute please send stuff in here I'm looking for anything from illustrations to written pieces.

Smash the State!

I recently illustrated a smashy little poster and had it risographed in lovely fluoro pink and orange from Hato Press.  I'll be selling this alongside some other snazzy risographed posters including Bowie and Henna themed prints at Alt Press and London Radical Bookfair Takeover 2015. Takeover will be full of awesome zines, prints and radical DIY goodies, its happening on May 9th from 12-7pm and can really recommend paying a visit.

Witch-y goodness

This witchy seance illustration is a by-product of watching a lot American Horror Story, Series 3, Coven just before Halloween.

Watches and specs

I've been working on a few self-initiated illustration projects recently. Ugly colours and garish palettes were of course mandatory. (You can see more here: Watches, Specs and, Highstreet)

Risographing

Yesterday I went back to Bolt Editions, to do some more Risographing, this time I really wanted to use textures especially after seeing how well the Riso picked the last time. I created another cliche Bowie print (available to purchase from here). Next time I'm hoping to really play around with layering colours.

Cat Skirt

I stumbled across an amazing 'Kitty Garden Party' skirt over on etsy (the one with the kickstarter campaign) and loved it. But when you add shipping and customs, we've looking at paying a ridiculous amount for a skirt. So if you can't buy it, make it. (Actually even if you can buy, make it anyway.) Ravensbourne has some great digital fabric printers and large heat presses, so after knocking up possibly my most garish piece of design it was printed and heat pressed onto fabric and then sewn to create the most awesome skirt known to mankind. 

Letterpress in Barcelona

A week or so ago myself and 9 other design students visited Barcelona for a letterpress workshop at L’Automàtica we called ourselves Ten Press, split into 3 groups and set a brief of creating some postcards. Postcards mark our happiest memories and two of the things which make me the happiest are of course, cats and carbs:

Doctor Who is back

Doctor returned to our TV screens today, in celebration I wore a bow tie all day and did a little foxy illustration. Enjoy.

Letterpress

Regardless of the fact it's mid August and the height of the British Summer (rain, more rain with a touch of rain) I'm working on a batch of Christmas Cards. They're all going to be letterpressed and hand made. So far I've just done the first run with the one colour and am working on the second run with the next.

Soof Says

A series of posters which document a few of my most over-used and slightly odd sayings. Here's one of the set, currently mocking a few before hand illustrating them, but you get the idea. Would be a nice, albeit a little odd, mail out: more to follow.

Letterpress and Hand Inked Mail-outs

I've recently picked up a letterpress and am currently knee deep in ink and 12pt type. I've justed put together a handful of little mail-outs and cards as part of a few early experiments. They've all been hand inked, pressed and decorated which is a nice departure from the old mac. However, I'm hoping to get a bit creative and possibly add a dash of digital to them.

The Print Revolution/Rave Craft Soc

Kick starting Rave Craft Soc (www.facebook.com/ravecraftsoc). This also gives me a great chance to get on that 'mac-less' project. (http://cargocollective.com/soofiya#2476443/The-Print-Revolution) We're currently working up our manifesto. Bring back print! Disclaimer: This society is mostly about going to type setting, booking binding, letterpress courses and some nice hand crafted design. However, feel free to 'fight the power' alongside this crafted based goodness.

Occupy LSX

Today I went to check out how Occupy LSX was coming along in St Paul's. There were some great little flyers, posters and print material hanging about so I'm now all tooled/researched up for a new personal graphics project. I'm hoping to get cracking on it when I have a few minutes to spare. On a side note, if you're not up for going the whole way and pitching a tent out there too, then I recommend following @OccupyLSX.
