Yesterday myself and fellow graphic designer and blogger extraordinaire Natasha Nuttall visited the KK Outlet for an Anthony Burrill Screen Printing workshop with People of Print. We both received signed prints and cheesy photos.

Cat Fridge
Yesterday I attend Rails Girl workshop, which was an absolutely brilliant experience, it opened my eyes up to the incredibly helpful and support ruby community.
I left with a taste for CSS/HTML as well as cat app. I proudly present Cat Fridge, a place to upload and freeze cat photos for all eternity. Ideal for every catless cat lady.

Alan Kitching's Letterpress & Typography Workshop
Kitching, the godfather of letterpress,
gave a two-day workshop in his studio in Kennington this weekend. I was
incredibly fortunate to be able to attend due to a student bursary myself and
another student were awarded. (Thank you Kitching and Co for that) A series of two-day
workshops are part of Alan’s grand plan to create a new edition of The Printers
Terms and I’m beyond grateful to be a part this little moment in potential
print history. There was a handful of inspiring visitors which popped into the
workshop over the course including ex-Pentagram designers, members of Double
Crown Club and AGI. Each participant was presented with a term which we had
to visualize, mine was ‘decorative initial’.

Design For Occupy. Occupy Design
This weekend I took part in the Occupy Design workshop (occupydesign.org.uk). I'm going to keep it brief. It may seem that the design industry is very much centered around consumption; which at times appears to exploit the basic human instinct of 'wanting more' through adverts, brands etc. However with movements such as Occupy there's suddenly a chance for designers, students and everyone (the 99%) to speak out against this. If there's one thing I've taken away from this weekend it's that: it's not just about designing for Occupy. It's also about Occupying design.

Outline Editions Workshop
Last week I went to a great little workshop, in Soho. With lots of glue, scissors and bits to cut and stick, we created work inspired by Anthony Burrill.
